Education plays a strategic role in improving the quality of superior and competitive human resources in today's era of globalization. Through education, individuals are expected to develop their potential in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects to face life's increasingly complex challenges. This study aims to determine the influence of parents’ socioeconomic status and students’ learning motivation on academic achievement among students of SMA Simanjaya Lamongan, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade social science students of SMA Simanjaya Lamongan in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 70 students. A sample of 35 students was selected using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results showed that parents’ socioeconomic status and learning motivation had a positive and significant effect on students’ academic achievement. Partially, parents’ socioeconomic status contributed 30.5% to academic achievement, while learning motivation contributed 25.7%. Simultaneously, both variables accounted for 56.2% of the variance in students’ academic achievement. These findings indicate that the higher the parents’ socioeconomic status and the stronger the students’ learning motivation, the higher their academic achievement will be.
