Abstract

The persistence of indisciplinary behavior among students poses a challenge for schools in fostering a culture of discipline. Therefore, this study aims to describe student management in fostering a culture of discipline among students at MTs Manbail Futuh Jenu Tuban and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with the principal, vice principal for student affairs, teachers, and students, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results show that student management is implemented through program planning and regulations, discipline coaching, supervision, reward and punishment, and periodic evaluation. Supporting factors include school cooperation, parental support, and adequate facilities and infrastructure, while inhibiting factors include differences in student backgrounds, lack of discipline awareness among some students, and the influence of the environment outside the school. In general, student management at MTs Manbail Futuh Jenu Tuban is quite effective in fostering a culture of discipline among students.
